Rain. Cold. Heavy. Justitia opened her eyes with a sharp gasp. Water dripped from the ceiling. Thunder rumbled outside. The smell of the human world filled her lungs—dust, metal, and electricity. Her body felt wrong. Weak. Fragile. Human. She sat up slowly on a narrow bed inside a small apartment. Her heart pounded rapidly. Her hands trembled. She stood and walked unsteadily toward a mirror hanging on the wall. A stranger stared back. Dark hair. Brown eyes. A faint scar above the eyebrow. Kang Bitna. Justitia touched her face carefully. The man who had been declared not guilty walked down a quiet alley, humming happily. He believed he had escaped justice. He was wrong. A shadow appeared behind him. Justitia stepped forward slowly. Her eyes glowed faintly red. “You were spared by the law,” she said quietly. “But not by judgment.” The wind roared suddenly. Dark chains burst from the ground, wrapping around the man’s body. He screamed. The air turned cold. A black portal opened beneath his feet. Within seconds— He was gone. Silence returned. Far below the earth, another soul arrived in chains. One.
