"Thank you," he suddenly said before he looked away. Milan wanted him to elaborate and explain why he was suddenly thanking her but she didn't want to force him. She already knew very well that he had just showed her more emotion than he had anyone else and she did not want to lose this side of him.
So instead, she changed the topic, "What happened with Vida?"
Clearly that wasn't the best topic to speak about if she wanted to keep his smile but the words just slipped out.
As expected, his smile slightly dropped and the glimmer in his eye completely disappeared. "I told her I wanted to end our relationship and she did not react well to that."
