Milan woke up to the sound of heavy footsteps pacing up and down behind her. She slowly lifted her heavy eyelids open only to let them drop back down right away. The sunlight was so bright that it hurt her already aching head even more.  She tried once more and this time, she forced her eyes to stay open until they adjusted to the sunlight. Once it had, slowly the rest of her body's senses came back to her and she couldn't help but groan at the sudden pain she felt all over her body. She felt as if she had just been hit with a bulldozer. Her entire body felt heavy and even when she tried to move, she felt completely paralysed.  The person who was pacing up and down behind her suddenly froze upon hearing her. He hesitantly walked around and fell to his knees when he saw Milan's open eyes.
