This is a work of fiction and although its form is that of an autobiography, it is not one. However, for the readers, it holds information intended to help them be better informed about Belfast, it's locations, public offices mentioned, and certain long-standing establishments such as Joseph Kavanagh's, the latter I was given kind permission to use and it really was an Aladdin’s cave in the 1970s. Indeed, it still was in 2014 when I spoke to the then owner. The historical events of the troubles were very real and any resemblance to people living or dead is entirely coincidental. The opinions expressed are those of the characters and should not be presumed to be the authors. No part of this book may be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopying, recording or by any information storage and retrieval system without permission in writing from the author.
’We were young; dizzy with the gold of youth, Argonauts who sailed the ghetto sea, on new quests; And those who are gone, gaze from the mists of vagueness, each Easter morn, know the truth,’
