Isolde
Isolde hurried through the woods, almost running. She didn't know where the watchtower was, and she didn't know what she was supposed to find, but she knew that this punishment was to break her.
And she refused to be broken. She'd found one of the guards outside and asked for the way to the watchtower. When she'd mentioned that Alpha Kael had sent her to the tower, fear had filled his eyes and he had told her to keep walking, that she'd find it along the trail almost to the boundary.
Isolde had turned away and started walking. Beta had said the watchtower was almost three hours on foot. Isolde knew it might take her four.
She wished she had packed a meal, or even some water. She thought of her brother, Liam, hoping he also had come food to eat.
At least food was not lacking
