Kael The drive was long, the roads cutting through woods and small, forgotten towns. Kael didn’t bring his guards this time. His father had made it clear, nobody was to know who he was. No one was to see him. Still, as he parked outside the small cabin, he searched the area. He was on high alert. His father lived in the middle of nowhere, but that didn’t mean it was safe. The rogues were getting bolder. If someone recognized him; if someone even suspected, this place could become a death trap. He walked over to the cabin. The door was closed but not locked, and he pushed it open and went inside. Inside, the cabin was dark. The smell of whiskey and his father's scent filled the room.
