Ava’s POV :
I didn’t know what to say.
My chest felt tight and my throat went dry as fear and confusion tangled inside me.With a helpless sigh I finally spoke.
“I… I don’t know how I came here,” I said softly.“I received a gift,a crystal ball.The moment I opened it I suddenly ended up here.”
Fairy Yumi listened to me with wide thoughtful eyes.
I could tell she didn’t fully understand everything I said but she clearly understood one thing,that I was not from this world.
After a short pause she asked gently,
“Do you know the name of this place?”
I shook my head.“No.”
Then she said,“The name of this world is Mystravell Umbraethra.”
The words hit me like a thunderbolt.My heart skipped a beat and my eyes widened in shock.
“Ah!” I cried out unknowingly.“So I really have come to another world…”
Before I could even process that thought sudden movement behind the trees startled me.
Two tiny figures burst out from the bushes their wings fluttering wildly.They looked terrified.
“Ahhh! How did this human girl come here?!” one of them screamed.
“She won’t kill us will she?!”the other wailed.
I froze stunned by their words.
Fairy Yumi looked both surprised and annoyed. She crossed her arms and scolded them,
“Eli,,,Miri! You were hiding and listening secretly and now you’re screaming like this?!”
The two fairies nervously hid halfway behind each other.
“Yumi,” they said shakily “she said she’s not from this world.Then doesn’t that mean she might have come here to kill us?”
My heart sank when I heard that. I took an uncertain step forward raising my hands slightly as if to show that I meant no harm.
“No! Why would I kill you?” I said quickly.“I won’t do anything like that.Why are you all so scared of me?”
One of them,Miri floated closer to me.Before I could even react she gently pinched my cheeks tugged at my hair, and stared at my face with wide, curious eyes.
I stood completely still too shocked to move.
After carefully examining me she said,
“You’re right.She really looks like a normal human. How could she possibly kill us?”
The other fairy, Eli, then stepped closer and asked,
“But how did you come here?”
I swallowed and replied honestly
“I really don’t know.I opened a magical crystal ball… and after that everything went blank.
I don’t remember anything else.Maybe that’s how I ended up here.”
Eli frowned in confusion.
“Crystal ball?”
“Yes,” I nodded. “It was a round glass ball.There was mist inside it nothing else.
And something was written underneath it but… I can’t remember what it said.”
I tried to recall the words pressing my lips together in frustration.
My head throbbed as I forced my memory but nothing came back.
“I can’t remember…” I whispered helplessly. “All I know is that after I opened the crystal ball,I came here. After that I remember nothing at all.”
Seeing my distress Fairy Yumi’s expression softened.
She flew a little closer and said reassuringly,,
“Don’t worry so much.We will help you find your crystal ball so that you can return to your own world.”
Eli and Miri nodded in agreement.Hearing their words warmth slowly spread through my chest.
For the first time since arriving in this strange land I felt a small spark of hope and a little courage.
We began to walk through the forest together looking for a path and searching for any sign of my crystal ball.
I pushed aside bushes and tall grass again and again my eyes scanning every corner.But no matter how long we searched,we couldn’t find it anywhere.
Then as I moved aside a thick cluster of leaves my breath caught in my throat.
A beautiful place appeared before my eyes.
There was a pond in front of me its surface shimmering under the sunlight.
Inside it bloomed countless water lilies in shades of white-pink and purple.
