I was taken aback by Vanessa's audacity, roaming around the council's library. If she were to be caught by any of the Elders or warriors, the consequences would be severe.
I reached into my pocket, realising that I had returned to the library because I couldn't find my pocket knife. I was determined to locate it before anyone else did, especially in such a prominent library.
Considering the possibility that it may have fallen in the car, I decided to search there first before returning to the library.
I decided to return and ask the chauffeur to help me search for the pocket knife and keep it safe for me to retrieve later.
As I neared the vehicle, I was suddenly struck by the persistent sound of rustling, prompting me to hurry toward the car.
