"Did you say anything to her?" I asked, squinting at the nurse I had assigned to cater for Vanessa. I came to the infirmary to have a word with her privately.
The nurse, a dedicated intern, had been the only one who selflessly helped Vanessa get better over the past week.
"I told her it was me, the Alpha heir. She didn't ask any questions either," she replied.
"Good. Let this remain between us. Words must not spread," I cautioned sternly, knowing how fast rumours spread in this pack.
"You can leave," I said, waving her off. She bowed before leaving.
I left the infirmary and headed back to the gym. I didn't want to clash with my father today, so immersing myself in the gym was my escape for the time being.
