NEXT DAY…
As I emerged from Kyan's car, I strode forward, only half aware of my surroundings. My thoughts were consumed by the recent encounter with the rogue wolves.
Kyan intends to report the incident to the council, but he hasn't thoroughly interrogated me about the fate of the third wolf. I took its life, and it was no stroke of luck. The act was brutal, and he's fully aware of it.
"I wonder if he's purposely avoiding the situation, or if he's waiting for the perfect moment to bring it up.
