My eyes open wide, my alarm screaming straight into my ear. I open my blinds and notice that it is too bright outside. My heart drops into my stomach, it is 07:30 and I only have 30 minutes before school starts. It is Monday morning and I am late for school. First I have to deal with that blob situation and now a Monday.
(Sarcastically)Oh how I love my life. Throbbing pain. I get off bed but drop straight to the floor, I heard a popping sound. My parents hear a loud thud and rushed up stairs. Their feet swift with every step. They find me plopped on the floor and asked me what happened. But I myself had no idea, it is not like I can just tell them about...last night can I?
I tell them I had no idea and it was sudden. That I was in deep pain and could not move. With concern they lifted me to the hospital for a check. I immediately went from late for school to hospitalisation as if I were in a movie. Maybe I am and never knew, but this is not the time for daydreaming.
The hospital was big, really big. Maybe it's because the last time I had been in one I was seven and got a vaccine. I could never forget that day, it was the last time I ever went to one... until now.
My dad placed my body over his as he rushed through the doors. The air smelled like cleaning detergents. The waiting room was torturous, every call taking its toll and my legs throbbing more each passing second.
Then they called my name, I didn't know if I should be relieved or fearful. How was I supposed to know what they'll do to me... maybe they would amputate my legs or maybe... nevermind I'm going too deep in thought. Right now I should just focus on getting help.
The doctor said this was common for those who run without warming up first. He said l had just strained my leg muscles and should be fine in a few days. My parents stared at me... confused, knowing I'm not athletic.
I am given relief tablets and sent home. My parents called my school and had everything sorted. Then came what I feared most...the integration. The moment that door closed the questioning began. Where were you? What did you do? Did you go to that place we forbade you? Answer us!!
(What should I say? That I was running from a blob of gunk in a green fluid tank. I wouldn't believe myself if I had not experienced it. This is going to be a long story *sigh.)
