I had been away on business or a while when my dad told me he needed to have this meeting with me today. I didn’t want to come back just yet, but I knew I had no choice. I got back late last night on purpose even though I knew I wouldn’t get much rest. That was just a price I was willing to pay. I already know what this is about and it’s just one problem. I hadn’t found my mate yet.

Normally I would be getting ready for training, but instead I’m getting dressed for this stupid meeting. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Of course, I already knew who it was. I smelled her as she was coming down the hall. “Come in Savannah.” I told her. She entered the room and ran over to hug me. “I’m so happy your home. I missed you. A lot.” She spoke. her face was still buried in my chest. I can’t deny that ki missed her to, but I’ll never admit that. I laughed knowing that she only missed me so much because of my little brother Daniel. “Your twin must’ve found a way to torture you while I was gone.” Of course, the twin from HELL did.” She said folding her arms pouting.

I laughed at my sister she was so like this. What did he do this time?” She didn’t get a chance to answer me.” Yeah. Tell him all about the secrete your trying to keep from him.” Daniel said standing by my door. “What secrete?” I said with a raised eyebrow. Daniel walked in my room eyeing savannah the entire time. Though my room is huge it was starting to feel a little crowded.” Umm…” “Well go ahead and tell him already.” Daniel shouted. I started to punch him, but I didn’t have the time to fight with my idiotic little brother. “Well, he’s trying to black mail me, because I found my mate.” She said to me the last part in a whisper.

I was happy one of us found their mate. Just as I was about to tell her that I was happy for her and ask who the guy was there was a frantic knock on the door. When his scent hit me, I understood what they were trying to tell me. No matter what I was still happy for her. I walked over to the door and opened it. “Your mate is fine. Welcome to the family.” I said to my future beta. I turned around just in time to see Daniels’s fuming and savannah smiling from ear to ear. “Now if you all would excuse me, I have a meeting to get to.” I walked from them all headed in the direction of the office that will one day be mine.

Dad I'm not marrying someone who is not my mate! I screamed and I'm sure the wolves outside training heard me. With the same blank expression as before and said “You are years old and have not found your mate yet. And I'm ready to step down from the thrown and spend the rest of my years relaxing. I don’t expect you to agree to this right away. What I do expect from the future king of wolves is to try. In this folder is the information that I have on the young lady I want you to marry. I want you meet her and build a bond with her. You have four months and if this doesn’t work then we will have to rethink you becoming King.

At that moment I couldn’t even speak. I can't believe my father was really doing this to me for a bride on me using black mail. I couldn’t take it any more I have to talk to my mom. I just got up out the chair and left with him screaming my name for me to come back. I ignored him and kept walking until I found my mom. She in the same place she always in at this time of morning. The kitchen making sure that Breakfast is ready by the time that everyone is out of training.

“HI sweety what's wrong you look upset?” My mom said as soon as I entered the kitchen. “Your husband is making my life hell because he doesn’t want to be king anymore. “What do you mean?” “He chose a bride for me instead of letting me marry my mate. He said I have four months to figure it out with this girl or I won't become the king.”

“First of all, young man mind your manners. You may be an adult, but I am still your mother. Now understand that your frustrated about this, but do you know who this woman is? You never know she might just be the mate you’ve been waiting for.” Your right mom. I sat on the stool and opened the folder my dad handed me earlier. I didn’t have a picture, but I had a name. “Analise Davis. I know that.” I thought aloud. “Of course, you do that’s the young lady you protected from your sister and her friends.” My mom said to me. “The wolf less girl that would've been killed if I didn’t save her?” she said nothing and shook her head yes, she was too busy helping the kitchen staff.

That’s my mom though she loved helping around the palace even though she didn’t have to. She did have work she had to do like my father that pertained to all the Lunas of our kingdom, but she was so good at her duties that she rarely had any work to do. Other than approving something party or what not for one of the Lunas. “Okay mom training is almost over I’m going to the field.” “Don’t be late for breakfast you know your father hates that.” She said as she quickly looked over her shoulder.

I left the kitchen to go find Lucas. I searched the training field first. But the head guard said he left early. He asked if I could fill in for him. So, I figured he was somewhere with Savannah. I tried minding linking them both and got nothing. I knew they were safe because if they weren’t I would since it. Though without my beta it was left up to me to the information they I needed on the girl I’m supposed to marry. I didn’t trust anybody else to handle this. Plus, I didn’t want them to know I was being forced to marry because I couldn’t find my mate.

I was headed to my office to gather some intel but was stopped by one of our pack guards. He mind linked me telling me there was a young lady on the northeastern boarder.

Me: so, handle the situation.

Sam: We don’t know how to she neither human nor supernatural as far we can tell. Plus, she won’t let any oof us near her. She looks like she was someone’s captive. You might want to bring a female with you.

I didn’t respond and rushed out of my office. I was going to mind link my mom, but I bumped into Savannah and Lucas. I got an idea and I hope it turns out well.
