Step 29. Men At Work

I wake up wrapped tightly in Eric’s arms, clutched to his warm chest. Whether it is because of the cold, our inescapable hangovers, or the gravity of our new relationship pulling us to the bed, I am not sure. Still, this is the first morning of my trip to the cabin that one of us hasn’t desperately tried to sneak out of bed in a hurry, and I love this feeling. Eric stirs awake, and kisses the top of my head, which I take as a sign he agrees. I hope we stay like this all day.
Day five. I only have these two full days left, and then I am supposed to leave the following morning. But that thought makes me sad, so I tuck it into some low crevice in the shaded part of my mind. There’s no use in being melodramatic today.
