A sick shiver wound down my spine. “Excuse me?” The bathroom door opened, and a familiar shoe appeared first. It was Caden. I slumped to the floor in relief. I thought I was in a bedroom with a stranger, and who knew what that stranger would do. I stopped rambling. I was annoying myself. “Sorry. I thought you were someone else. You found our room.” He stopped, staring at me, a towel in his hands. “Are you upset?” Yes. I hugged my knees tighter. “No.” “Bullshit.” He bent down, grabbed my hand, and pulled me to standing.
