CHAPTER THREE

1146 Words
“Mate,” Alpha Blake said caressing Raya’s cheek, his finger trailed down to her pink lips parting them open. Their faces were so close and he was leaning in for a kiss. “What are you doing?,” Lupe yelled. She ran after Blake when he left the tent and was shocked that he was about to kiss a hunter. “She’s a hunter,” Lupe added, as she watched the pack members stare at their Alpha and the hunter. She could hear the whispers among them. Blake moved back surprised by what Lupe had just said. His mate was a hunter, he was so engrossed in meeting her that he didn’t see the hunter’s mark on her left shoulder or the bow and arrow. His long awaited mate was a his enemy. Raya breathed heavily, feeling his breath of her face a mate brought shivers up and down her spine and he was so handsome that she felt week on her knees. The demeanor of the Alpha commanded respect and authority and his height, her neck almost hurt from looking up at him. “Take her to my tent,” he commanded the two werewolves holding her. “But-,” Regar tried to speak but the glare of the angry Alpha was enough to shut him up. He nodded and obeyed his master’s order. No one dared to defy the Alpha. “No,” Raya screamed kicking the ground as the werewolves dragged her away. The last thing she wanted was to be in a close space with Regan. Was he going to kill her? But if he wanted to he would have done it already right? Or maybe he wanted to tear her apart slowly like the beast he was, as she cried out in pain and even hang her head in front of the hunters village. The horror. But even though Raya was debating if she was going to be killed by Blake or not, her mind kept going back to what he said, the word ‘Mate’ and how he almost kissed her. The Alpha Of Moon Pack almost kissed her and she wasn’t disgusted by it. In fact she wanted to kiss him. She wanted to him to wrap her in his big strong hands, hold her close to his thick chest and devour her pink lips. Her thoughts ran wide as she imagined all the naughty things they could do. “No,” she thought getting back to her senses, he was an Alpha. She was a huntress. They weren’t meant to be and she couldn’t even his mate because she was human. That’s right?.... She wasn’t a werewolf and she couldn’t be his mate, maybe this was a plot a way of catching her off guard and she fell for it. Regar and Aiden tied her up in their Alpha’s tent and proceeded to guard the entrance. Meanwhile, Adolf the mate of the dead female wolf couldn’t contain his anger as he presented his case to his Alpha. “The hunter killed my wife,” Adolf, an Omega cried out. He had changed to his human form and was holding his dead wife. His wolf couldn’t bear to see his mate dead. He loved her so much. Adolf couldn’t understand why he’s ruthless Alpha who killed hunters for the fun of it was letting his wife’s murderer live. He should have killed her on the spot. “I’m the Alpha and you don’t question me,” Blake replied. He said it in the calmest tone possible. Adolf was a member of his pack and he knew how much the Omega loved his wife. “I’m so sorry for your loss, we will organize her burial,” Blake tried to comfort Adolf but the angry werewolf walked away leaving the confused Alpha with his thoughts. Blake couldn’t stop thinking about Raya, his mate. She was beautiful. Her luscious red hair that hanged above her shoulders and her enticing eyes eyes that drew him closer, trapping him deep from afar. Her curvy waist and slender shape made him mad with lust. He felt how smooth her pale skin when he touched her cheek and at that moment he wanted to mark her to make her his. Raya was the most attractive woman he had ever seen and to think she was his. The image of how her breasts curved perfectly with the tight cloth she wore, giving him a slight view of her cleavage made him want her more. His wolf needed it’s mate, it needed her badly and so did Blake but he knew it wasn’t that simple. She was human, his mate was a human being. How could his mate be a human and more importantly a hunter? The gods had to be mad, no, it had to be a mistake. A werewolf could be mated to a human but it rarely happened. “What’s gotten into you Blake,” Lupe screamed angrily. She had just gotten back from inspecting the area, taking counts of the dead body and comforting the weaker wolves. “Where you trying to kiss her?” “What I do is none of your business, Lupe, I’m an Alpha and I don’t answer to you?” Blake said walking away. “She’s a hunter, Blake,” Lupe words stopped him in his tracks. He stood still as the sentence hanged in the hair. “She killed three of our werewolves,” Lupe moved gradually to him. She placed her hands on his back, slowly soothing it, she moved in front of him and cupped his face. He was way taller than her, about 3 inches tall and his chest rose and fell with every breath he took. She couldn’t deny how handsome he was and that’s why she couldn’t let him be with the hunter. He was hers, not any f*****g hunter. “I know she’s your mate Blake,” she whispered. Blake was shocked. How did she know? How did Lupe know she was his mate? Maybe it was the way he threw her off him and out of the tent or how he tried to kiss her. “If the your pack or any other pack know that your mate is a hunter, they won’t be loyal to you anymore, in fact they may turn against you and leave,” Lupe spoke looking into her leader’s eyes. He knew Lupe words were true. If the pack members knew their leader was a mate to a hunter. It meant that he was on the wrong side. He couldn’t loose his pack and how could he be with the same people that killed his parents. “You have to kill her,” Lupe advised, her eyes still fixed on him. “You have to kill the hunter”.
