Christopher struggled for that normal life. I guess we all really did. I loved my children and wanted nothing but a happy healthy future for them both. But after Christopher was hit it financially devastated us and that was were things began to crumble. I has to have an emergency hysterectomy for cancer and Doug my husband had an accident at work. Doug was addicted to his medication and was violent towards me. He was good to Christopher and yelled at Benjamin alot. So there was a lot of problems and Christopher wandered off into the world of trying out drugs. I left his dad thinking that if I could get him into a better environment that would help. I knew as much as I tried to hide the bruises and injuries they knew what was happening. But I never put him down to them. When we left things were good for a bit worked on getting me and the boys into counseling and let their dad see them. Then Christopher says if you don't let us live with dad I'm going to kill myself. I knew the dark world he lived in from his head injury, he was also trying drugs and was depressed over me leaving his dad. So I went back. Thinking I was sticking up for myself making rules and guidelines. When I really just didn't want to lose my son. I couldn't imagine life without him.
