¶The Key¶

"It's permanently sealed," Maxwell said examining the big mirror-like white shining object which resembles the door to the other land that is the human world.

"Yes, I know. It has been sealed since your father's death and you are the key, just open it" Sid said as he pulls Max near the door…

"Are you crazy? I said it is permanently sealed. There is no way I can open it. If you are so desperate then break it" Max replied while walking away. Sid quickly holds his hand to stop him while saying

"You know this right, We are the one who is protecting this door breaking it will bring disasters in both the human and Werewolf world. This thin sheet is stopping both worlds from clashing"

"I know I have been in the human world before," Max replied

"Then why you are refusing Max? If you don't open it soon, Those bloodsuckers will break it in the future" Sid said making him sit on the big rock

*sigh* "Sid, Why do you want to open this door? We are no less progressive than humans here, look around there is everything. Even those Vampires, Why the Hell do you all want to go into the human world"

"Because I left something precious in the human world 10 years ago. I never imagined that this door can get permanently sealed after your father's death" Sid said holding Max's hand tightly

"Were you all stupid back then, Everyone knows that my Clan was the only protector of this world, but now somehow it got shifted to your Alpha. I am surprised to see that he is still managing everything well"

"What do you exactly want to say?"

"Okay… I will open this damn door, but first, tell me your Alpha's secret"

"Wh…what Secret?" Sid shuttered

"… That's how Damon is still alive after killing an Ultimate Alpha. 10 years ago he was just 20 years old kid, there was no way that a mere teenager has enough internal core energy to kill my Dad"

"How the F-u-c-k did our conversation turn this way. Max, We are not gonna discuss anything about Alpha's past again, Is that Clear?"

"But Sid…"

"IS THAT CLEAR?" Sid yelled this time with rage, his eyes are clearly showing some anxiety

Max nodded his head quietly without making eye contact with him, he have so many questions in his head, Yes he know that his Dad was not an ideal Alpha and he killed/destroyed so many people throughout his life but there are still so many things that are kept hidden from everyone, hidden from him and he just wants to know them.

Here, Sid realized that he raised his voice at Max without any proper reason, so he holds his shoulder gently and said…

"I didn't mean to yell at you but don't do or say something which makes me mad. I don't want to hurt or abandoned you because of my rage"

*Max smile bitterly* "Abandon me? Sid, You are the Abandoned one here, If I disappear someday you will have no one to call yours, besides I am not alone anymore."

"Wh…What? Who did you find? Who is he? Max, I am warning don't let me see you close with anyone except me"

"How the F-u-c-k did our conversation turn this way? Sid, I am grateful that I am still alive because of you and I also know that you want to be dominating one between us but, I will still not open that door unless I find out everything. I don't even know the motive you have" Max spit out the same words as him to avoid his question as he doesn't want anyone to know that he has some kind of relationship with Krystal.

"You are so stubborn, bastard! This was the reason you wanted to come out from that dungeon? To take revenge?"

*Max shakes his head* "No, I don't wanna take any revenge. There is no use and why should I when I know that we were at fault that time"

*Sid sighs in frustration, he vigorously ruffles his hair before opening his mouth* "I don't know how to convince you anymore, but remember my statement 'I have something precious in the human world' well… and, don't come back before opening it" He said while stepping behind

"You are leaving me alone here?" Max asked attempting to hold him but Sid shifted into his wolf form and sprinted from there…

(Max's Pov)

What The H-e-c-k!!! Is he serious? I am at the end of Werewolf World, I don't have a pack mark, nor does he claims me as his. How am I supposed to cross those clans' borders? Argg!!! How did I got stuck with that moron? Should I just run away from him?

Max was babbling to himself and decided to wait for Sid instead of doing any random thing which can cause trouble to him as well as to Sid, so he turned around to sit back on that rock, however, his eyes got stuck on the figure which was approaching him.

"How do you know this place?" Max growled at him indicating to stop right away

So at a safe distance, that person stopped and said… "You have to come with us"

"Where? Wait it's doesn't matter where I will still not go with a bloodsucker" Max replied

*Vampire chuckle* "So, now you have become a scared wolf. Beta Sid is sure keeping you under him, and Why will he not, You are so fu*king beautiful. All these years I have only heard about Royal Beta's Mate, today I finally met you"

"Was I really this famous? No way… Who the hell told you about me because here in Werewolf World, nobody knows me"

Vampire Guard: Why would they? You being still alive is benefitting our King not there's

"What?" Max asked with a confused look because except for being the key to this portal he has nothing left

"Sorry lord, enough conversation, now. You have to come with us, by a hook or a crook" As soon as the guard said this, another Vampire who was standing at a distance Injected a small pin into his neck by shooting it from far… That Pin causes him to faint right away on the spot

Meanwhile,

In the Alpha house, Damon locked Krystal inside his room after the incident, where she feeds him, her blood by cutting her plam. He was standing outside of that room the whole moment thinking very hard about the consequences that will arise now…

*Asher came waddling toward him* "Dad, Why you are out? And Where is Mo…Krystal?"

*Damon picks him up* "Asher, Has She ever fed you anything before?"

"Who? Krystal?"

*Damon nodded* "Yes, Something red… I mean did you get what I am trying to say?"

"ALPHA!" *Moon calls him from downstairs* How can you ask him that?"

"And Why not I am worried" Damon replied

Moon shakes her head in annoyance, that's when Sid entered the living room and sat on the sofa, seeing him alone without Maxwell, Damon and Moon kept staring at him weirdly…

"What? Why you both are staring at me like this?" Sid asked avoiding their gaze

"Did you kill him?" Moon asked in a sarcastic way

"Where is Maxwell How can you leave him alone i***t? He doesn't have a pack-mark. What if someone captures him thinking he is Rogue" Damon yelled at him, as he kept Asher on the floor and started stepping downstairs toward them

"Nothing will happen to him Alpha" Sid replied casually

*Moon smacks the back of his head while saying* "And how do you know that punk?"

"Yahh! don't hit me"

*one warrior came running toward them while yelling* "Lord…Lord"

"What?" Sid asked standing up and walking toward that warrior

"They…They… Those Bloodsuckers took Maxwell with them" that warrior replied in a terror

*Sid panicked* "What? How? *he growls at him while pushing him against the wall by holding his collar in both hands* I told you all to keep an eye on him from far then how did this happen"

"Lo…Lord, it's not our fault, by the time we reach there, they had already taken him with them. Only this and Vampire's smell were left behind" Warrior said while handing Max's shoes to Sid

Sid took that shoes in his hand and then turns to Alpha Damon with a pleading gaze indicating him to do something because no one has entered the Underworld except Damon and rescuing Maxwell from there is his matter because he didn't mark nor he introduces him as his Royal mate to others so he can't take warrior force with him or maybe he does but he needs Alpha's permission for that…

"What? Why you are looking at me like that?" Damon asked as he sat on the sofa

"Alpha, shouldn't you do something. He is important to me" Sid asked

"Do What? I told you to protect him, it's your fault he is with the Vampires now and We don't even what they are gonna do with him"

"But Alpha at least…"

"YOU ARE STILL WASTING YOUR TIME HERE…" Damon said in a kind of threatening tone

"Alpha I served you all my life can't you at least help me with this" Sid raises his tone too

"Serving me was your duty besides that you are no one to us" Damon replied without making any eye contact with him

Hearing this Sid remembered the word Max said **You are the Abandoned one here, If I disappear someday you will have no one to call yours** So, he lowered his head a little bit and said before rushing out of the mansion… "Sorry, for raising my voice… I expected too much from you all"
