Princesss Kira sat down beside Max mum in the family dining

Every members of the family were present except Max

"Kira, how come your husband is not here yet for breakfast " Max mum inquired turning to face Kira

"He should be here soon, he wanted to get something done" Kira replied facing her meal

"This should be your

first meal together

as couple, he shouldn't be late"

"Oh and i hope he is not too hard on you last night " she winked playfully while Kira had a blush on her face

'Too hard indeed '

"You don't need to feel shy or embarrassed, it's a natural thing for couple, I was once like you before."Max mum chuckled turning back to the meal in front of her

Max was enjoying wine as he sat in the pavilion above the pond. His eyes was fixed on the pond, as he brought the cup near his lips time to time

Hearing some approaching footsteps , he turned his head around and could see his mum scuttling towards him

He fixed his eyes back to the pond, drinking quietly from his cup

Meanwhile, his mum had taken a seat near him

She heaved a sigh staring at him, she doesn't even know how to start a conversation with him

He doesn't seem like the Max she knew before

"Why didn't you come for breakfast?. "

She finally took the courage to say something

"Not hungry " He replied briefly

"Am I a bad mother to you, do you resent me so much"

Her two eyes were staring deeply at his face as she asked this question

Max didn't say anything but twirled the wine cup in his hand as if he was pondering

She didn't pressure him to talk either, he could take his time

"Why are you asking me that" she was replied with yet another question

"Just answer me! Am I a bad mother to you" she repeated

She was growing impatient already, it's quite rude to answer a question with a question, she had always hate it and he knows that too

" No" his reply was short and brief

"Then if you know that, why are you doing this? You should know I want the best for you

You're always full of energy, lively and full of life, this past few days, you've changed, becoming introverted , a lot of things have changed about you."

Her emotion could be clearly seen in his eyes

"Why didn't you consummate your marriage with the princess yesterday " she asked another question after a while of both of them keeping silent

"I don't want to discuss that Mum, I don't want to discuss my marital affairs" he was slightly disinterested

She had known he didn't do anything with her but she pretended she didn't know and even teased her to make her feel better

"I want you to know that everything that happen in this world is fated, you're not fated with Irene, if you are, no matter what, you two will be together, nobody can influence or stop it from happening

But since you ended up with Princess Kira instead, it's fated, try to forget everything else and work on your relationship

Your father and I wedded on an arranged marriage too, no mutual feelings at first, but we worked towards our relationship and made it work, that's when we give birth to you and your sister, if you could do that too, I assure you, you will have a perfect family, don't dwell on the past any longer, there is hope if you open your heart " she explained calmly to him

She had always try to impose her word on him forcefully, always try to make him do anything she want, she realized it's not so working after all, maybe talking to him like this could solve it

His eyes lit up "Is there really hope. "

She nodded happily "Of course, there is"

It's finally working on him

"Yeah, there could still be hope for Irene to fall in love with me, she may realized how much I love her and accept my love right"

His word shattered her instantly,she had thought he's finally reasoning along with her, she didn't expected him to say this

Nevertheless, she was still calm

"No, there's no hope, you're already married, forget about her and open your heart to Princess Kira" She heaved a sigh

"Okay " he nodded in agreement

"I will just forget about her" he said more like a whisper like he's talking to himself, she was still happy to hear this

Moon watched as Irene finally stepped out of her room

She had only came out of her room once yesterday and when she saw him, he was so disappointed and hurt seeing her act so indifferently

She didn't even care if he's out or not, seems he's really nothing but a servant in her eyes

"Where is Diane?." She asked throwing him a glance

"Irene, you once said you will let me leave whenever I want to right"

Ignoring her question, he asked another question

Irene was a bit surprised on why he asked that question but nevertheless she maintained her calmness, she tried not to show any bit of emotion in her

"Yes" she asserted firmly

"Even if I want to leave right now " he was staring deeply at her

She was shocked by this words, but still try her best to stay calm, she try her best to not show any bit of emotion in her

" Yes, I won't go back on my words. " she nodded

He's slightly hurt she will just let him go like that but what he didn't know is that it took everything in her to say that

She changed so much to him ever since he confessed his feelings

Is she doing this to clear the gap between them

When he lost his memories, he's always roaming around alone, not speaking to a single person

But when he saw her, he just wanted to stay around her

That's why he didn't mind any identity as long as he could stay close to her

Even if it's the identity of a servant

"I need to leave now, I want to focus on remembering who I am, if I have any family " he said firmly

She traced her steps to her room and came out a while later, passing him a badge

" I wish you find your family " she gives a tender smile

He glimpsed at the badge in his hand and suddenly, he hugged her

She was so surprised and didn't see it coming, she felt so tender and small in his arms

She didn't push him away either and let him hugged her as much as he want

"Take good care of yourself and never let anyone bullies you, be strong "he unlocked from the hug and turned around, leaving.

He didn't even have an idea on where he's going, but he really need to leave and clear his head for the meantime

He sighted Diane who was coming from a corner, she stopped right in front of him, but surprisedly to her, he ignored and walked past her, he didn't stop for once no matter how she called his name

He's afraid, if he turned back, he may not be able to leave anymore

Diane scurried towards Irene who had her eyes fixed on Moon departing figure

"Where's Moon going? Did you send him on an errand "

Diane questioned standing in front of her

She inhaled deeply and replied " he left"

"He, he left. " she was shocked

"But why? Why would he leave like that? "

"He can't stay here forever, the fact remains he left and is never coming back again

And from this moment, I don't want you to speak of him ever again, get me food from the kitchen " she then traced her steps back to her room while Diane stood there still in awe

He left, just like that..

How could he be so ungrateful? After everything the princess did for him

Is this how he repayed her

Princess Nita was in her room having a cup of tea when her personal maid walked in swiftly

"Your highness, he, he, he is here to look for you, he is out, outside" she stuttered pointing her finger which made Princess Nita confused

Who's outside?.

She goes out to see Moon standing in front of her door, patiently waiting

"You, you are here to see me" surprise written all over her

He had never came to see her first, she's always the one to approached him first

"Can we talk privately " he demanded

She chuckled giving him a stare, this man was the only one who had the nerve to come to her and even demanded to see her privately

"Who do you think you're to demand to see the princess "one of the maids who's outside had blurted out before she could speak

She turned to her personal maid behind her

"Take her and give her 30 lashes on her back "

She bowed and walked swiftly to the maid to take her and carry out the punishment

The maid on hearing this quickly knelt down and started to beg "I'm sorry your highness, I just wanted to correct him "

Princess Nita had a smirk on her face "Who are you to help me correct him?

I've been lenient with the little punishment I gave you, one more word and your salary for a month is cut off "

The maid kept her mouth shut and let herself be taken away quietly, She knew Princess Nita never go back on her words

How dare she talk in her place when she didn't tell her to?.

All her maids know her rules, she hated them to be too forward and should only act when she gives the instructions

"Let's go" she turned calmly to Moon

"Go take your flute with you " He said

This guy is really something, he even used a command tone and order her around..

He didn't even treat her like a princess, he wouldn't bowed his head in greeting

Nita nodded her head rhythmically as Moon plays beautiful tune of her flute, They're both sitting in the garden, the place she had first seen him

He finally stopped playing after half an hour

"I am leaving " he revealed dropping the flute beside her

She was quite surprised to hear this

"You're leaving " she repeated

He nodded " Yeah"

"Okay, I wish you well then" she kept a straight face

"And did you come to me to tell me that, you came to bid farewell" she added

Did he regarded her as a friend to come to bid her farewell

"Yeah, I should bid you goodbye, you helped me out before" he said

He had a good impression of her

"Hm, what if I'm not actually who you think I am? " she questioned with a smile

"What do you mean?. "He questioned back

"I had my own way of saving you from the cell sooner but I didn't, do you still think well of me" the smile still on her face

"Does it matter, it's not an obligatory for you to help me out every time I'm in trouble " he responded without giving it much thought

At least to him, she's slightly better than that sly fox, Kira

"Even Irene who didn't do anything, I didn't blame her " he added and Nita gave him an awkward look

What did he mean by that?

"What do you mean by Irene didn't do anything?. "

"Yeah, she abandoned me there but I'm not angry at her "

Though he's slightly hurt and disappointed because she had promised to get him out of there but she didn't do anything

Nevertheless, he do not blame her at all

Nita heaved a sigh staring at him, seems he didn't know what she did afterall

"Do you know why Max married Kira "she suddenly questioned and he shook his head

How could he know when he's confined? He was bewildered when he came out to see a wedding was going on

He knew how max loved Irene so why did he married Kira instead?

By observing his expression, she clearly knew he's not aware

She then began to tell him everything right from the start to the end

Moon was in total shock after she explained to him.

"Even when I told her to give you to me, she refused and was keen on finding another way because she knew you both will become strangers if she do " she ended her words

"So now that you know she didn't abandon you, will you still leave " she asked seeing he was quiet

"Yeah, I will" he nodded

"She will blame me in her heart, she had the opportunity to be with the one he loved, but because she wanted to save me, she had to let him go" he said more like a whisper but she could still hear him

Nita shook his head staring at the young handsome guy beside her

Is he pretending not to know or his I. Q on love is relatively low

Why does he still think Max is the one she loved?

He should know by know, he is the one she loved right

But she choose not to say anything, it's not her place to interfere

The fact is that, Moon is a big novince on love matters

Before he lost his memories, he didn't know much on love either, though he lost his memories, but his skills are still there, like shooting an arrow, riding and speaking to horses

And even, he believed she loved Max because of the way she act towards him

She act cute in front of him, get into physical contact with him and she would even hugged him and tell him she loved him playfully

What he didn't know is that Irene was only being playful

She had always treat Max as a friend and also she's a type of person that act free with a guy she doesn't have feelings for but when she started to develop the feelings for him, she feels shy to stay close to him, her heart races when they make the slightest physical contact so she kept her distance a little

"Since you're leaving, i'm sure you didn't just come to bid farewell right"

He must have another thing to say to her

"You're quite smart, Princess Nita, yes I didn't just come to bid you farewell, I wanted to request something from you

I want you to please help me protect her, I know you can do it, if she met with a big trouble someday, please help her" he pleaded

She laughed "So this is why you played flute for me to bribe me"

"Hmm, not really " he had an awkward smile on his face

"Okay, you have my word, I will do that, you can rest assured" she promised

He could finally be at peace now

He knew she won't go back on her words

Like when she told him the wedding will be cancelled and it did happen

"Thank you very much! I will be leaving then " he bowed and left aftewards

This is the first time he would actually bowed to her

She can't believe two guys asked for her help because of Irene

How did she get herself involved in love triangle?

She could remember vividly well even Max had come to her a day before his wedding

"You requested to see me" Princess Nita stare faintly at the Max in front of her

"Yeah I did, turns out you're right after all, even if that guy is not involved, she would still not love me" he had a sarcastic smile on his face

"So what are you intending to do now? " she questioned his next step

"Nothing but to get married " he replied

"Why don't you just leave and start your life elsewhere "she suggested

"No I won't leave, it's just to get married right , fine I will, since someone wanted to marry me so badly, I will just grant her wish "he smirked

"So why are you here then " she asked going straight to the point

"Since I will be getting married, I will have to ignore Irene from now on, we will both become strangers, I won't bother her any longer, I don't want to put her in anymore danger but it it happened that she get into trouble someday, I want you to help her since I can't anymore, please " he begged

"It's alright, I will try my best if it's within my power " she said

"I will really appreciate " he bowed his head in appreciation and then left

(Back to Present)

Now another one came to her

Anyway she gave them her word, and she will try her best

She then began walking back to her quarter
