Kenneth's head hurt even more as he heard all the insults Ramona threw at him. Kenneth's eyes mimicked quickly when he saw Ramona's hand swinging towards his face; he already suspected that Ramona would do violence to him again.
No longer wanting to continue to be bullied by Ramona, Kenneth quickly held back her hand, which was already swinging towards his cheek.
"I won't let you insult me any further, Ramona." Kenneth looked at Ramona sharply.
Ramona, who felt her hand being held by Kenneth, tried to release the grip, but unfortunately, she could not do so.
"Damn, bastard! You've dared to fight me now," Ramona growled, her face already flushed with anger at this time.
"It's time for me to be more assertive with anyone who insults me," Kenneth replied as he threw Ramona's hand, which he was holding.
Because Kenneth threw her hand away, Ramona had to take a step back because she could feel Kenneth using a little force to throw her hand away.
Ramona felt very angry at the moment; she did not expect Kenneth, who always obeyed and listened to her, to treat her like this; she felt really humiliated at the moment.

"I will only say this once, Ramona. Don't bother me again, I'll make you regret it if you have bad intentions towards me." Kenneth said that when he had Ramona cornered against the wall.
After saying that Kenneth turned around and walked back into the conference room. Before entering Kenneth took a breath and after gathering his courage, he pushed the door open.
With confident steps Kenneth walked to the lectern where the moderator was speaking, he intended to speak at this time.
What Kenneth did attracted the attention of everyone in the conference room; even some people began to whisper when they saw Kenneth's actions and began to guess what he would do.
"It's only natural that you don't believe me, considering my sudden arrival," Kenneth said, starting his speech.
"But, I'm sure Grandpa had his own reasons for choosing me as his heir. And I don't mind if you want me to prove my performance, I will not disappoint you," Kenneth continued, trying to convince everyone in the room.
Robert, who saw what Kenneth was doing, immediately took advantage of this situation to make the others give Kenneth a chance to prove himself.
"Seeing that Kenneth is willing to prove himself, I decided to give him the C.E.O. position so that you can see his performance," said Robert, choosing to give Kenneth the position that was currently vacant.
The board and shareholders did not immediately object to Robert's proposal this time. They thought that it was fair enough to do at this time.
However, Jack didn't think so because the position would have fallen to him if Kenneth wasn't there.
"Grandpa! You can't do it. You told me that the CEO position would be mine!" Jack kicked the table and started to get up from his position.
Before Robert could say anything, Kenneth's voice was heard trying to intervene with Jack, who was angry.
"I'm sure you also disagree with Grandpa appointing me as the heir. Isn't it you who will benefit if I fail?" Kenneth looked at Jack with a smile on his face.
Some people were surprised when they heard Kenneth's words; they did not expect that this new kid would dare to confront Jack directly like that.
It was common knowledge that Jack was very temperamental and also had a poisonous mouth, so they did not expect Kenneth to dare face Jack directly like that.
Some people immediately thought that Kenneth did have potential, as Robert would not have been so careless when deciding Kenneth as his heir.
"I'll just let you take that position for now. I'll kick you out immediately when you fail later." After a long silence, Jack finally lets Kenneth take the C.E.O. position.
"Thanks, I'll prove that you won't be able to kick me out that easily, cousin." Kenneth smiled and began to turn his attention to his grandfather, who was grinning at him.
"Since the matter has been settled and no one has any objections, I officially appoint Kenneth as our new CEO." Robert finally ended the emergency meeting.
After Robert made the announcement, Kenneth came down from the dais listlessly. To be honest, his energy and courage had run out by now. I don't know what possessed Kenneth that he dared to speak like that.
Without Kenneth realizing it, several people walked towards him and congratulated him, some people even said that they were looking forward to what he would do later.
Kenneth could only smile and thank them; cold sweat began to form on his body, not expecting that there would be many people coming towards him.
Even the one Kenneth bumped into earlier walked towards him with a dazzling smile. He had no idea that this woman would also be part of the company.
Selena walked towards Kenneth together with Robert. Selena knew that this time Robert would introduce her to Kenneth officially.
"Good job, Kenneth! No wonder you're Keith's son." Robert patted Kenneth's shoulder proudly; he was delighted with Kenneth's performance today.
"Ehm!" Selena, who was next to Robert, cleared her throat softly to remind him.
"Almost forgot. I want to introduce you to someone. She is Selena Bowen, she will help you as long as you are the CEO here," Robert continued then introduced Selena to Kennet.
"You're going to help me?" Kenneth was shocked when he heard his grandfather's words.
"Yes! I can't wait to work with you, Kenneth." Selena extended her hand towards Kenneth.
"It would be my honor to work with you, Selena." Kenneth shook Selena's hand, and he could feel the delicate hand touching his.
Then, Selena turned to Robert and said, "Can I take her for a tour of the company?" Selena looked very excited.
Robert just nodded his head and waved his hand, indicating that Selena could go with Kenneth.
Seeing that, Selena immediately hugged Kenneth's hand and pulled him out of the conference room, "Let's go! I'll keep you company today!" Selena smiled sweetly at Kenneth, who was still stunned.
