Chapter fifteen

Shaina search through the whole house and couldn't find a cell phone or computer or some internet to communicate with the outside world.

It's been days since she last saw her family and although they don't like her that much, she's sure they're worried about her whereabout

In her anger to leave the house the other day, she has forgotten about taking her phone with her and hasn't even contact her workplace to request permission to be away this long.

"What are you looking for?"

She was a bit frightened at the unexpected appearance of Samael

Rather than the usual long robe that makes him look unapproachable, he is dressed in a normal t-shirt and trouser and that make him look different

"I need to call my Dad" she told him

"Oh yeah, I was inconsiderate about that, I'm sorry" he apologize like the gentleman Shaina has seen in movies.

He walk to her and brought out a phone from his pocket and stretch it to her with a pleasant smile

"Please" he said

Shaina nodded her head enjoying this new side of him, for the past one minute of their talk, he hasn't refer to her as a human like he normally do.

"I didn't think you will have a phone, you talk like someone from the 1900s" she teased.

Shaina watch him smile and couldn't help a smile too, it feels a lot warm than before and there is no cold atmosphere

"Where are you?"

Shaina hear the familiar voice in her head, she felt a slight pain and held her head down

The pain disappear in a moment and she raise her head up in relieve confuse about what just happened when she hear him call again

Shaina look towards the spot he was standing few seconds ago and he was gone. In a swift move, Shaina turn to the opposite direction and see him again in his usual robe

"What are you doing there?" She asked and walk to meet him

"And how did you change back so quickly?" She asked with a baffled gaze at his clothes

She had only look away for nothing more than ten seconds and he managed to get over there and even clothes?

"What do you mean?" Samael asked getting close too

"You were there about to give me your phone and then..."

The sound of the opening door made Shaina stop talking and she rush to the direction where the sound is coming from

Ian close the door and almost flinch at the sudden appearance of Shaina in front of him

"Ohh...Miss"

"That's the door that lead outside" she said excited

Ian nodded confuse on why she was excited about the door

"I've been looking for this door like forever, everytime I open a door it leads to rooms"

Ian look at Samael who just got to them and give a displeased look, he shouldered indifferently and walk back to the living room.

"I came to see you Miss" Ian said and sits now while Shaina followed after him

"How's my Dad? Is he so worried?" She asked impatiently

"I will need you to show yourself to your family and probably the public...your sister caused some trouble" he informed

"Selena? That psycho! What did she do again?"

"The one with the opposite energy?" Samael asked cutting in.

"You remember my sister? What? Do you some special interest in her?" She asked a little upset

"My memory is far better than any human" he answered with an air of pride

Shaina was stop by Ian before she could reply to him and is ask to calm down and ignore Samael while she listens to him instead

"There are rumors that you're married to me instead because S.V decide to loan your father's company..."

"You lend Selena money! Don't tell me you did that because of me?"

Mr. Fisher stare at the young lady in front of him not quite sure the reason for her upsetting look, he thought helping her family will make her happy and more loyal just in case the unforseen happens

"That b***h should beg me for it" she cussed out.

"I really need to go out" she told both men and hurry to the room to change her into something more good.

"You said she shouldn't leave the house" Samael said after she was gone

"I know but things got complicated outside"

"People think she's kidn*pped or force to marry" Ian explained

"Do you want me to erase their memories?" He suddenly ask

"What? No! We can't risk people suspecting or figuring out your identity"

"Besides...you can't go outside" Ian added

Samael nodded in affirmation and relax back on the chair until a breeze rush past the room and Nom appeared out of it in a teenager body

Ian gasp in shock looking at the appeared figure, he attempt to stand up in defense but Nom hold him down and zip his lips to stop him from screaming

"Hello human friend, I'm Samael's friend a shape shifter" he introduced with a cocky smile

"What are you doing?" Samael asked unbothered

"I've been here for a while listening to your conversation, and i have a suggestion"

Nom said and go to take his seat few fees away from Ian who still look a little frightened, he unzip his lips and grant him the permission to speak again.

"If you have the lady by your side, i think you can stay among humans without the urge to kill them"

Both Samael and Ian look at him immediately, they seem not to believe his words but hope it's true

"Her energy seem to surpress the urge for blood and make the dark energy weak" Nom added.

Selena sits in her office and read the news headlines again, the internet has been buzzing for many twenty four hours now and there is a positivity it will go on for days.

Many are getting their interest on the company and their stock market is dramatically increasing as minutes passes.

Selena smile in satisfaction at the result of things, she has not only succeed in tarnishing Shaina's name and image but she has gain a popularity for herself as the 'Good daughter' of the Dothad's.

The door open and Dylan rush in disrupting her thought, Selena sighs hating the interruption and switch off the computer

"I found Shaina" Dylan said and Selena jolt up from the chair in a bit of surprise

"You found her? Where is she?" She asked eagerly

"Outside with the reporters, it seems she's coming to meet you"

Selena felt a sudden rush of anxiousness but wave it away and decide to go meet her too. The reporters are there anyway, she might as well finish it all now.

Shaina decide to wear one of the expensive dresses Samael got for her in order to look new and different.

The yellow sleeveless halter neck ruffle thigh high dress with blue flowers on it made her look sophisticated and the designer heel shoes complete her look.

Numbers of reporters follow closely behind trying to get her to satisfy their curiosity as she walk into Dothad company with every eyes on her.

She look up to see both Selena and Dylan walking to her and she hold a smuggy smile as she continue to walk forward confidently

"Hi Selena" she greeted making sure her voice was loud enough for the reporters to hear, they all keep quiet after hearing her speak

"Looks like you've become popular overnight" Selena comment satirically

"I guess so, you have been working so hard to make that happen" she replied in like tone.

"So...where is your husband? Do you come alone?" Selena asked looking behind her.

Shaina chuckle knowing what she's trying to do, if she doesn't do that, then she is not the Selena she knows, always looking for ways to embarrass her

"I did not realize you're so much interest in my love life Selena"

"I don't think you have one Shaina, or did you really get married to Mr. Fisher like the rumors says?" She asked in pretentious shock

"You know you can be sue for defamation Sis"

"But sorry to disappoint you, i got married to S.V corporation President... Samael Demon" she announced

The instant the words left her lips, everywhere was thrown into silence. Even Selena stare at her not saying a word back

"And I will like to revisit the investment from S.V corporation, Dad put me in charge now" she told her

Shaina watch the shock and disbelief look on her face and almost roar into laughter.

Soon the reporters were buzzing again with questions at the new bomb news thrown at them.

It was a nephew of S.V corporation, now it's the owner which everyone has only heard about like a living in the air but has never seen.

The reporters start to make their statement and they begin to rush at Shaina for further explanation of her marriage news

"So you are really married? Who is this Samael Demon you're talking about?"

"Is he the unknown founder of S.V?"

"How did you meet each other?"

As the reporters throw their questions at Shaina, Selena give a stern gaze and walk back to her office leaving Dylan behind.

Dylan look confused for a minute and finally grab Shaina's hand and take her away from the pestering reporters.

He took her to a hidden spot and pull her closer to avoid been seen by their chasers.

Shaina has to rest her body on him because the spot was small and can barely contain the two of them together, she try not to think about anything as she rests on his body.

But after staying five minutes, Shaina feel a little nervous and her heart start to beat a bit too fast than normal, she swallow hard to calm down but it is not helping

The reporters chasing them are few fees away and any abrupt move from her will get them caught

Shaina try to let herself relax till they are free to come out of their hiding but then, she feel Dylan's hand on her hair like he is stroking it and she almost lost it

She feels her breathe coming out loud and her finger shaking nervously, she feel inconvenient at the intimate touch and finally raise her eyes up to meet Dylan's eyes.

"Wh...what..."

Dylan watch her lips move and he's tempt to bring her lips down on it, he hesitated for a second before letting his lips on hers, closing them together.
