I sneak through the shadows created by the Dark Ones magick moving in a direction I hope is away from danger. My mind is on a looped track, repeating the same questions over and over, Is Taytra ok? Is Father okay? What will Moraine do? Can I ever come home? How long will I be safe?
I heard when it caught Taytra. The thing that thought it was hunting me through the woods. With the noise, she was making it didn’t take long to find her. I knew she was trying to get caught, I knew she would kill me if I even took one step back toward the castle but I still wanted to turn back and help her.
