CHAPTER THREE.

He is rarely in the building, or even seen in person, even at his own place of work. No one knows when he comes in and goes out. Paparazzi were lucky to have a glimpse of him. You only find few pictures of him on the internet. So when he stepped into he building, people were shocked, surprised and even afraid to see him. CEO's do not have time for vanity, shoots, the media, glâm and all, well he does not care about things like that. That was another thing that shocked everyone. He didn't know what pulled him to be there today, he already had people handling such things, everyone had a job assigned to them, this is one of those jobs. He walked to the elevator and went to the second floor, he then arrived at the place where the shoot was taking place. He stood in silence, dressed in a tailored black suit, that fits like a second skin. His straight but curled hair shining and looking well groomed, with few silver strands glinting from it. His silver-blue eyes, looked around, calm and calculating, yet very sharp. No one had perceived his presence yet in the room. Then he turned to the left, his eyes met her perfect frame. The world stilled. He stared, as her hair fell on her shoulders, resting on her waist. It was a perfect angle, the light from the window behind her gave a good effect too. He watched her every move, every gesture, she was magnificent. But her beauty was not the only thing that caught his attention, it was her heartbeat. The sound kept on going, getting louder each second. His wolf surged inside, disturbed, restless, like he was about to out himself. One word crossed his mind 'MATE'. His jaw clenched, his fingers folded into a fist, nails digging into his skin, he was fighting his wolf, fighting to control himself. His soul has found his other half. Then something happened in a blink of an eye, her heartbeat slowed down, he could hear it, it felt like she was about to pass out. The rhythm changed, it was not as strong and loud as it was. He stared at her again, before vanishing, his expensive shoes making his departure obvious. Finally everyone turned to look at the intruder, some could tell it was the boss, some did not know who it was, She did not see his face, she only stared at his departing figure, her eyes lingering for a moment. As he walked away, her scent and image followed, and the faint beating of her heart. That night, at the forest behind his estate, wolves padded about silently under the moonlight but the Alpha?, he stood away, his silver eyes looking at the moon above him. His wolf was still pacing and still growling the same word. Mate, Mate,Mate,Mate. A soft voice interrupted his internal battle "You found her". He turned to look at her, the pack's seer, Ophelia. Her red hair, shone bright like fire under the moonlight, her blue eyes sharp with knowledge beyond the present. She had a small frame, fragile-looking but no one dared to question her. "You already know what she is to you, but there is more" she said quietly. Damian's throat tightened, the air thickened in seconds. "Speak" "Her heart is breaking, it is dying, Her bloodline gave her weakness, they made her fragile. Time is not on her side either, she will not live to mark her thirtieth on earth unless you claim her. The Alpha's bond is the only thing that can keep her heart beating till eternity." The prophecy hit him like a rock, his wolf lunged forward inside him, he found it hard to believe as he stared at the seer. He knew it was forbidden to mate with a human. And yet, his fate brought him to her. This is not the tradition, his pack would look down on him, they would question his sanity. He thought about it again as his wolf kept hitting, he does not have a choice, this is his fate. He closed his eyes and let out a sigh. "I do not have a choice, do I?" "Prepare yourself Alpha." With that she bowed.
