Chapter 19

In Khanna's Mansion

At night

Nandini was in her bedroom's balcony lost in deep thoughts. She had a conversation with her sisters who have also shared their past with Manik's brothers. But just like Manik, even they had no problem with it which just increased the sisters' anger. They didn't want to get attached with anyone. They have forgotten how to become soft, how to be someone's happiness since the day they lost their mother, emotionally.

She was just thinking how to get rid of this feeling when she found a shadow entering her balcony, but the thing amused her was the shadow didn't come through her bedroom's door but she saw it climbing the pipeline..

Nandini ( thought ): I thought spider man never existed..

She started walking towards it when the figure already came in front of her sight..

Nandini ( gasped ): Manik...

Manik was pacing to and fro in his bedroom thinking that other than the past, sh should have some reason to reject him. Its true, she got betrayed by her own mother but it doesn't mean she could get scared with name of soulmate..Why does she feel she can't love someone..She knew herself. She loves her Dad and brother then why can't she love him. If she was a girl who never showed any kind of emotions to her father, brother or sisters then it could be understood that she doesn't want to get close to anyone but here she loves all those people then why not him..She could at least give him a chance to trust him but nothing sort of it happened..

Manik ( thought ): There must be some reason..And, I need to find it out..

He decided to see her and started climbing to her balcony to get to her bedroom..he entered the balcony to see her walking towards him with some frowns on her forehead and soon she gasped his name..

Manik ( sheepishly ): Hi..

Nandini ( shocked ): Tum yaha kya kar rahe ho..

Manik went and occupied the swing which was kept in her balcony..

Manik: Bas, tumse milna chahthi thi..

Nandini ( sarcastically ): Mein kya tumhe koi show piece dikh raha hoon jo milna chahthe ho..

Manik ( grinned ): Mere liye tho tum ek show piece se bhi zyada important ho..

She hit her forehead in frustration for which he just chuckled. Seeing him chuckling she just charged towards him..

Nandini ( furious ): What the hell is your problem..? Ek tho bina permission se mere balcony mein aaye ho aur ab bina koi wajah se has rahe ho..Tum takhthe nahi ho kya ye sab karne se..

Soon, she was pulled onto his lap which widened her eyes..

Manik ( glared ): Tum takhthe nahi ho kya..Kab se bhag rahe ho mujhse..I mean, its been 2 months since I have started following you and you are just running away from me..par tumhe thakthe hue dekha hi nahi mene..

Nandini ( scowled ): Usse following nahi balki disturbing kehthe hai..

Manik ( coolly ): Par mere hisab se usse following kehthe hai..Agar Dad ne mujhe iss halath mein dekh liya tho wo obviously mujhe joru ka ghulam kahenge..how will I be looking like after our MARRIAGE..

Nandini ( shocked ): What..? Marriage..? Are you serious..?

Manik: Of course, i am..ab pyar kiya tho shadi bhi karenge hum..

Nandini ( glared ): Mein tumse pyar nahi karthi..

Mnaik ( smiled ): Ek na ek din tho zaroor karegi tum..

Nandini ( frustrated): Mene kaha na..mein tumse pyar nahi karthi aur kabhi karoongi bhi nahi..

Manik ( coolly ): You will..

" No "

" Yes "

" No "

" Yes "

Nnadini ( shouted ) : Manik, I said I wont..

Manik ( shouted ): But why..

Nandini ( lost her control ): Because, I don't want to be another Lakshmi Alexander..

Manik sat there shocked while she just realized what she just said..She stared at him in shock and then sighed in frustration. She tried to get up from his lap when he tightened his hold..

Nandini ( yelled ): Mnaik, leave me..

Manik ( firmly ): No..

Nandini ( shouted ): I said, leave me..

Manik ( tightened his grip ): And I said, I wont..

She sighed in anger and closed her eyes to calm her down..

Nandini ( softly ): Manik, please..

Manik ( calmly ): What does it mean by you don't want to be another Lakshmi Alexander..?

She avoided eye contact..

Nandini: Its none of your business..

Manik pulled her more that there won't be space even for air could pass through..

Manik ( gritted his teeth ): It bloody is..Say it..

Nandini ( glared ): i wont..

Manik: Fine, then I will shout and then Pops will come here to see his daughter on his best friend's son's lap..

Nandini ( shocked ): You can't be serious..

Manik ( coolly ): Oh I can..in fact I would kiss you in front of him..

Nandini tried to get up but his hold was very tight..

Nandini ( sighed ): Why don't you leave me..?

Manik ( yelled ): Why can't you say it..?

Nandini ( shouted ): Kya bolun mein huh..That I am scared of becoming like my own mother..I a scared that I would cheat on you..

Manik stopped glaring and his eyes softened while her eyes were of frustration..

Nandini: I am scared..because I am her blood..I am scared to get close to a man because what if I turned out to be like her..What if I cheat on my husband just like how she cheated my Dad..

Manik ( shocked ): What..? What are you saying, Nandini..? Tum aur wo..kaise..you are different from her..

Nandini ( emotionless ): No, maybe we hate her..But something we are scared of is becoming like her..We are her blood..Aur khoon apna asliyath dikhathe hai..if I turned out to be like her, then I would better kill myself..

Manik ( shouted ): Nandini..

She flinched with his tone and stared at him who was only glaring at her..

Manik ( furious ): Never.Say.It..If something happens to you, then its the last day of Manik Malhotra's life..get it..?

She stared at him in shock..He composed himself and caressed her cheeks..

Manik ( softly ): You can never be like her, Nandini..Maana ki tum uska khoon ho par iska mathlab ye nahi ki tum uski jaise banjayegi..Tum tumhara Dad ke bhi khoon ho, wahi Dad jo abhi bhi uss aurath se ithna pyar karthe hai jisko unka parwa hi nahi, wahi Dad jo apne bachon keliye apne jaan bhi de sakthe hai, wahi Dad jo kabhi kisi aur aurath ke baare mein socha thak nahi, wahi Dad jiski khushi apni betiyon ke muskurahat mein hai..ab tum hi bolo..can a man like him have a daughter who doesn't know the meaning of Love, who would cheat on her soulmate..Can he..?

She nodded in No with teary eyes..he smiled and kissed her forehead..

Manik: Then you don't need to run away from me thinking that you would be cheating on me, one day..

She stared at him with innocence filled eyes..While, he stared at her lovingly..

Nandini ( softly ): You trust me..??

Manik ( smiled widely ): If I love someone then there is only one meaning, that I trust that person to eternity, so Miss Nandini khanna I TRUST YOU BECAUSE I LOVE YOU..FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART..

She just cried and hugged him tightly which just made his heart dance in joy..This was the first time, she took initiative in something. If he craves for something then that is to have her in his arms with her consent and when she hugged him today, he felt like he got to control the whole world with his own hands..

She was sobbing in his arms. She craved for only one thing and that was love. the love that she once got from her mother. It might be fake for her mother but it was so real for her. The happiness that she had whenever her mother hugs her, kisses her forehead, that was something she never got from anyone, not even from her father because he had his won place in her heart. But today, Manik Malhotra filled that empty space in her heart with his Love and Trust on her..

It was true, she was always scared, not just her, The Khanna Sister were scared of Love. They were scared that what if just like how their mother decided to walk out of their life, their Dad's life, even they would walk out of someone's life. After all, they are Lakshmi Alexander's blood. Won't they too have kids at that time, what would be their condition. No, those kids don't deserve such a life because only they know how painful it is..So, they decided they won't love, neither marry anyone..They don't want to destroy anyone's life..

They broke the hug and for the first time, she smiled at him which did its work..He kissed her forehead in happiness..

Manik ( cupped her cheeks ): Can I..take it..as a yes..Will you become mine, forever..?

She smiled widely and closed her eyes and could see only one face, it was him..

She opened her eyes to see him looking at her curiously with a frown on his face..She leaned and kissed his cheeks and whispered in his ears " I want to know what's happiness and if you can bring it to me, then I will be yours, hamesha.."

She looked at him to see him looking at her with the most brightest smile that has ever appeared on his face..he hugged her and mumbled in he neck..

" Even if it takes me to destroy the whole world to give happiness to you, I won't mind cause I love you "

His this confession made her beyond happy and they decided to give a chance to this blooming relationship..
