It took a good hour for him to get to the trail up. The going was slow because of the drifting snow.
Finally making it, he studied the trail as best he could before heading up. It looked like he would have a hard time getting up, but also he felt like he had to if possible.
It was probably too late, but for the children and her safety he had to try. Plus his own personal reasons of not wanting anyone finding his home.
It took a good half hour to make his way to the top. He had to kick the snow off most of the trail as he made his way up to the top.
Making the top, he rested for a few minutes while looking everything over. He could see where he had crossed the valley and also knew the trail wouldn"t be visible for very long with the weather being like it was.
