It took the better part of a week for him to finish the two beds. During this time he noticed how the woman"s features were softening more everyday.
She smiled a lot more and just looked a lot nicer. In fact, she was just plain easy to look at and he liked having her and the children around. Even though it was getting boring inside the cabin everyday.
Finally the weather broke enough that they could get out. He asked her if her and the children were up for a little adventure.
"Absolutely," was all that was said. She started grabbing clothes while he looked for boots and snowshoes. He had modified a pair for Tonya a few days before had fixed up a small sleigh to pull the children on.
