As time passed, the days grew warmer and longer. He and the children had gotten closer. There would always be a warm feeling come over him whenever they were near. They would play with things for hours that he really couldn"t understand how it would hold their interest for more than five minutes. Whenever he would tell them anything the children would listen without question which kept them from getting hurt on more than one occasion. Just little things that could have gone wrong but did not because they listened. The best of it was when they would both crawl up on his lap and fall asleep before bedtime.
