“Long time no see, Diana.” Fred throws me a smile.
I nodded, agreeing, "a lot has been going on lately.”
Fred sighed and handed me one of the coffees he had ordered.
We were currently in the cafeteria of the head office because Fred happened to be visiting this place on workrelated business.
“Are you okay?”
Unfortunately I couldn't possibly tell Fred that I wasn't okay, so I could only nod.
He always asks how I'm doing when we meet, it's always been like that. That's what makes Fred different from other people I've met, he always makes sure that I'm okay before asking further questions.
“The coffee here is surprisingly good. Is it because the beans are expensive or is it because I drink it with you?”
I couldn't help but smile when he tried to joke.
