Alpha Darren gritted his teeth when the phone in his pants pocket vibrated while he was hugging Diana in her sleep.
They had returned home because Alpha Darren had forced Diana to rest.
And tonight was the second rare moment in Alpha Darren's life because Diana wouldn't let him leave. Diana wanted Alpha Darren's company until she fell asleep. And of course Alpha Darren didn't refuse.
Even though his arm was numb, he liked Diana sleeping on it. He felt important to Diana when she trusted him with her safety.
And that damn call interrupted this rare moment, so Alpha Darren growled in annoyance.
He slowly rested Diana's head on the pillow, also getting off the bed with as little movement as possible.
Before going to pick up the phone, he made sure once again that Diana was sleeping
