The Rejected Alpha

Chapter 12

“Over my dead body”, growled Alpha Gabriel. “He is a mutt, and this matter does not concern him! Neither does it really concern you,” he said to his wife. “And if anyone so much as dare speak to William or mentioning anything of Gabriella’s situation, you will face the full wrath of me, and you do not want that”, he warned as he walked out the door.

“What is going on”, William asked as soon as his father was far enough away, “what is wrong with Gabriella“

With tears in her eyes, Gabriella looked at William, “I am pregnant” she said.

“But that is impossible,” said William, “you are only sixteen” he continued. “You haven’t even had your first shift!”

“I know it all might be uncomfortable to discuss right now”, said Luna Delilah, “but we are part human also, and yes, at sixteen humans can fall pregnant.”

“But who,” asked William, “who is the father?”

Luna Delilah looked around her, and the fear in her eyes told William that she would rather die than tell him who it is, such was the fear for her husband.

“It was Beta Charles,” Gabriella said, “father was out of town and I walked home after school one evening when he grabbed me. He dragged me to his house where he forced himself on me”, Gabriella continued with tears flowing freely now, “I am sure I heard his wife, Margaret in the house, and I screamed for help, but she did not come to help me.”

William could feel the rage running through him, as he recalled all the times he himself was mistreated by the Beta and his wife. As he ran out the door, he heard his mother scream at him, “please, do not do anything to them!!”

When William barged through the Beta’s front door, he saw Margaret and Isabella sitting on the floor, crying while holding the dead body of Beta Charles in their hands. “Who did this,” he screamed at them just before he felt a blow to his head and he collapsed on the floor.

Alpha Gabriel looked at William as he was lying on the floor. “Don’t you dare tell him the truth,” he said as he looked at the two women on the floor. “And if you decide to talk, remember, Isabella can always be taken from Simon.” The two women just looked up terrified at the Alpha and nodded in agreement.

When William woke up, he noticed that he was lying on a couch, and as his eyes got used to the dark, he recognised the room as that of Beta Charles Richards’ lounge.” I wonder how long I have been out for”, thought William. As he got up, he heard voices coming from the kitchen, and he decided to investigate.

“What are you doing here”, he heard Simon ask as William walked into the kitchen. William looked around to see that Isabella was alone with Simon: “where is your mother,” William asked with an annoyed tone in his voice. “She has gone to see the Alpha”, was the only response he received.

William walked into his parents’ house, only to be met with a group of wolves having come together. “There he is”, said Margaret as she noticed William. Before William realised what was happening, some of the male wolves had grabbed him, and was trying to push him down.

“What is going on”, William asked?

“Just be quiet”, he heard his father say, “we don’t have a place for murderers in our pack, we will deal with you later. Make sure he cannot get away”, said Alpha Gabriel as he looked at the men holding William down.

“But I didn’t do anything”, said William, “I went to Beta Charles to ask”…. But his father cut him off, “Don’t you mention another word or I will cut out your tongue myself,” he said while glaring at William. Before William could say anything else, a hand moved over his face, and he could smell the Wolfsbane mixed with Chloroform just before he passed out.

When William woke up later, he heard voices, and as he looked around he realised he was alone. “It is time”, he heard the one voice say, “it is time William pays for what he has done, but first, we are to have an evening of celebration”. William then realised that it was his Father that he heard.

“It must be our senses waking up properly,” said Sebastian, and William suddenly remembered the day he heard Isabella and Simon speaking of being mated. “I still don’t understand how we can hear them”, William said to Sebastian. “No-one has ever told me that werewolves have these heightened senses. Heightened yes, but to hear someone clear across the house, why did no-one tell me,” wondered William.

It was then that William heard Margaret speak, “Finally,” she said, “after all these years we are able to be together, just like we planned all that time ago in Wiesbaden. It is just a pity it took so long, and very unfortunate that you had to kill your Beta, but he did deserve it after what he did to Gabriella.”

“Yes he did deserve it”, William heard his mother say, “but enough of talking about him, I think we have an Alpha to take care of,” she said to Margaret, and William was sure that he heard a hint of lust in her voice.

After what seemed like an eternity to William trying to block out the voices coming from his parents room, the ecstatic gasps from the woman, it finally stopped. “They must be asleep,” William thought to himself. “Time for me to shift and get out of these restraints.”

As William left his parents room, he was sure he caught a glimpse of someone hiding behind the bushes, but he just turned around and ran off into the woods surrounding the falls.

“What are we going to do”, asked Sebastian as soon as they were sitting next to the waterfall.
