I could hear the voices surrounding me, but I couldn’t open my eyes; it was like they were glued shut.
“Aphrodite, I told you to take the damn guards for a reason. Why the hell were you out without them.”
“Well, I wanted her to feel like it was a normal girl time, not like her life was constantly in f*****g danger, Dimitri.”
“He is f*****g after her, and you thought that it was a good damn idea to go out without guards.”
I started to try and force my eyes open, but I was still having trouble. I tried talking, but it was like something was forcing me not to speak. I moved my fingers on my hand and apparently that worked because I heard Dimitri, “Go get the doctor she is moving her fingers.”
