Chapter 1

You grow up. You are looking and you are looking. You are sculpted. Day by day you are shaping up. And it is a painful process. To make your truth. Create what will be called yourself. To find your "wants", to follow them. You are lost somewhere. A little stress, a little pressure, and a little wear and tear of everyday life are enough to immerse you in the labyrinth of "musts" and "nots".

Until you wake up one morning, look in the mirror, and see the lie in the reflection. It looks like you and yet it is not you. It is a shadow of something forgotten desires, the proof of your submission to some imposed rules. And it is no longer your life. It is not yours. It rightfully belongs to the foreigner of the mirror. And then you realize the emptiness.

Yes, the famous emptiness found refuge inside you, you couldn't be an exception. It is so intense that you wonder how it is possible to live so long ignoring its existence. Voluntary blindness.

That emptiness is in my life. I see all my friends and family left behind this emptiness. Don’t get me wrong I’m so happy about them. About my sister, she found a man who adores her and protects her from everything. My brother has a girl that loves his weirdness, that she fights for him and she makes him have a stupid smile every day on his face. And then me, an empty life. Maybe is my fault, in the past, I hurt and took advantage of a lot of girls. Not that I said lies, I was clear from the beginning, I didn't date, and I didn't want a relationship. Maybe the universe punishing me now. I want commitment, stability, devotion, and someone to love me for me.

I’m once again in a meeting, the story of my life. Don’t get me wrong I like my job. But lately, I need to return home and find someone who waits for me. And no return to an empty house. I have a text from the lawyer I hired to deal with Amber’s ex. Amber is my brother’s girlfriend. Amber was abused and had a hard time with him. Thank God we managed to take her from that place and now she is happy with my brother George. I see her as a second sister to me. Ryan has taken care of. The lawyer managed to keep Ryan away from Amber for good. The meeting finished and I returned to my office. I work until late at night, I don’t have anyone to return home to. That’s my routine every day, work work work.

The days passed and today I have dinner at George’s house. Amber will cook. Since they are together they invite me to have dinner with them many times. Amber, is very excited today. She went to a dance school with her friends to start dance lessons. After we eat she shows us the video of her dance teacher, dancing to a song. The choreography was wow and the teacher more wow.

“Her name is Chloe. As you can see she is an amazing dancer but she is also so nice and kind person” Amber says and I can’t take my eyes off Chloe. The way she moves, the way her hair waves as she dances. I ask Amber a few things for her but she doesn’t know much. She met her today. So when I went home I searched online about her. I wrote her name and the dance school name and I watched every video of her. The hip hop choreographies, the slow choreographies, the sexy choreographies with high heels. How do they manage to dance with high heels and dance so well? I guess is practice.

Late at night, I saw every video with Chloe, God since when I became a stalker for a woman? I texted my friend Jaxon, who owns a security company, and asked him to help me find details about Chloe. I gave him her name and the name of her dance school. He has always been the detective character so every time we need something we tell him to research it.

Two days later he found everything for her. He came to my office to give me the files.

“Chloe Harrison. Is the granddaughter of the famous multimillionaire Robert Harrison. But she doesn’t have contact with him. His son, Chloe’s dad, left the luxury life to be with her mom. She was a waitress when they met. His father of course was against so William chose Bella.” Jaxon said and I read at the same time the papers.

“William opened with Bella a coffee shop and they have lived together since then. Chloe has a little brother, he’s studying director and he is the one that recording her videos and the dance school videos.”

“Impressive”

“Indeed. Her parents managed to have a successful business and they raised two children they are also successful”

“I see that,” I say and I smile when I see her photo in the file

“Chloe has a co-owner Antony Burn,” he says and I took the picture. He was with Chloe in some video. Those two of them were close to each other

“Don’t have that look. You don’t have to worry about Antony. He is gay and happily married”

“I don’t have a look”

“You have the jealous look,” he says and leans to the office

“Is this the first time that you've asked to research a woman”

“I know”

“You want to tell me something?” I look at Jaxon, he has been my best friend since middle school. Our families are in the same cycle and we have been close for more than twenty years. He is one of the few people I know who are not snob and arrogant.

“I don’t know how or why. I just can’t get her out of my mind. Her eyes, her body, her moves everything on her makes me feel...”

“Hope,” he says and I think about it

“You feel hope that something is changing for the better. You hope that she is the girl that will wait for you at home every night” he says and I smile. Hope that she will feel my emptiness.

“The bonus on top of this. Every Saturday she sings at her cousin Frank Moore's new bar.”

“Of course, Alicia Moore was Robert Harrison's sister”

“He is the only one from the family that he talks to his uncle, aunt, and cousins”

“Frank was always different,” I say

“True,” Jaxon said

“Thanks again for the research Jaxon”

“No problem you know I like it.” He stands up

“I hope everything goes well. I ask Frank a few things”

“And?”

“She has been through a lot from past relationships. You need to be patient if you are interested”

“I am,” I say and I take her photo. Caramel skin, her smooth chocolate hair, and the blonde highlights on her hair make her sweeter and cute. But when you look all her body. This woman is a sin. She is slim but she has curves in the right places, something to touch. I could explore her body for hours. f**k I’m hard again and I have an audience. I clear my throat and I look at Jaxon

“You will come tomorrow for dinner? Camila and Eliza want to see you” Camila is his wife and Eliza is his beautiful and sweet daughter

“I will. I’m free tomorrow”

“OK, we will wait. Bye” Jaxon said and

before leaves he says

“And good luck” I waved to him and I returned to the files. And if she is so a kind and sweet person like Amber said, she definitely is the one.

I could leave everything to be with someone like Chloe. Chloe Harrison, her parents did great work with their kids.

Brown hair with blonde highlights, dark eyes, and a body, oh God what a body.

And when she dances she has a way to show how sexy she is. And the funny part is, I don’t think she understands how sexy she is. She dances because she loves it and that makes her sexy as hell. I can’t wait to see her again and let me tell you, I won’t give her the chance to say no.
