CHAPTER FIVE Nancy felt herself quiver with embarrassment. He could hear her thoughts. Could he hear what she was thinking right now? What else had he heard? Then again, he didn't have to tell her anything. He could have kept it a secret, and he hadn't. Instead, he’d given her that warning. He smiled, clearly amused. Okay, she couldn't fault him there. She'd be pretty amused by what he’d heard, too. But, thankfully, he wasn't trying to make her feel bad about it.
