The FurnaceConner was waiting for Lyla when she arrived back from the mine. Lyla had no idea that he had returned and was a little later than usual. It was raining, and she didn't notice him as she parked her pick-up and hurried through the downpour to the Chateau entrance. Conner stood there grinning as she realized he was there.
