I've been avoiding Evelyn since coming home from the party with Morgan last night. But I don't think I can avoid her again today. I wish I could, as I'm extra frazzled after seeing Jared again. He brought up too many emotions in me. Each time I see him, I don't really see this guy—Jay. I see my Jared; I think he's in there somewhere. I'm just not sure how to reach him. Each time Jay corners me, one emotion seems to rise above all the rest, and it surprises me. I want to be brave. Brave for Jared. After placing my key in the door, I open it slowly. The TV sounds softly from the living room, so I become a coward and close the door gently before tiptoeing up the stairs and into my room. I tie up my hair and enter my bathroom.
