The Present… No, it wasn’t quite the same grin the man had worn last night. No, last night the grin had been full of desire, then contentment. Now it was—what?—amusement? Hell, he hadn’t even known Caesar had a daughter any more than Caesar had known about Madelyn and Harris. Ted started, remembering he had frozen in mid-sentence.
