Eight months later Roland swallowed to soothe his dry throat as he studied the acceptance letter. He’d felt the interview had gone well, but somehow he hadn’t expected to actually receive an offer from Boston General Hospital. Now what was he supposed to do? He had the offer from Saint Vincent Hospital here in Worcester, but the position in Boston was in ICU, which he wanted more than the surgical floor nurse position he’d been offered at Saint Vincent.
