A guardian for life

I was in state of shock after hearing the news, I went pale , felt weak and I couldn't help it. I felt like quicksand was consuming me up. I stumbled and then suddenly a lady officer dressed in deluxe blue long trousers and a shirt with a jacket on the hat on her head underneath with she tied her white blonde hair and a belt badge around her waist. She gave me support and comfort then spoke clear words " you are going to expect something unexpected my dear".

A guy named Mevrick full, true name Dean Maverick walked upto my driveway. I'd known his name because it was printed in bold on the suit case that he'd bought along with him. He was good looking, sharp featured, well built, with viking-gold hair.

The lady officer said "the unexpected is here dear your new legal guardian and now I'd hand you over to him" she added "Mr Maverick shes your responsibility play your role well and make no room for mistakes". Dean Maverick didn't say a word he just nodded his head up and down. I still stood there in disbelief acting as though I have no fair ideas as to what just happened a while ago.

The officers left in a jiffy manner after getting a call for some suicidal case.

I then saw Dean Maverick picking up his suitcase and making his way inside the house I quietly followed. I saw him entering the guest room and I didn't have much energy left to say stuff so I decided to go and sleep in my brothers room. I was left shattered. Not a single word came out of my mouth.

It took me a while to get used to Dean being around. He wasn't bad after all. Now that he was my legal guardian I had to keep up with him. Dean took involvement im my educational life, that came in when I needed help with my math tuitions. He even took care of my medical and dental needs. Dean turned out to be a family guardian. I'd always thought he'd been receiving kinship payment for this but I was wrong. He provided me with security, love, freedom, all except approval for living on my own. He doubted my abilities always after me trying to prove that I'm a sissy.
