Romance was in the air as the so-called 'season of love' was here! The atmosphere was painted with the color of love with shops being decorated with red colored balloons and tinsels, varieties ranging from romantic showpieces and cards to expensive chocolates and gift packs full of goodies, oh and the infamous red roses were being sold at big stores to tiny nooks. Riddhima and Paridhi forced Neer to make a trip to Delhi to celebrate the day of love with his fiancée. Neer was reluctant to go but he had no other option They had asked Neer to plan a beautiful surprise for Ishanvi and even gave him loads of ideas about how to make it special for her but Neer did no such thing. In fact, he didn't inform Ishanvi that he was coming to Delhi to meet her. When Ishanvi returned to her home from Écrits, she was amazed to see Neer sitting on the couch in her living room. "You? What are you doing here?" she blurted out as soon as she saw him sitting there talking with her parents. Her parents gave her a quizzical look "Di, Neer is here to take you out for dinner!" "But why? What's the need?" "Did you forget?" "Forget what?" "Di, it's Valentine's Day today!" "So?" "It's a day to celebrate your love and let your partner know how much you love them I don't need a day to celebrate love Don't be a bore. Go and get ready," Days were rolling down peacefully with both Ishanvi and Neer busy with their respective works. While Neer was __ with his new project –that'd increase the produce of wheat and benefit the farmers– near Kapurthala (a city in Punjab), Ishanvi was concentrating on her research studies as well as balancing her job at Écrits as well. Neer would often visit Kapurthala to supervise the progress. The work site was at the outskirts of Kapurthala where acres of land was being cultivated using modern agricultural techniques which would not only enhance the crop quality but would also increase the harvest. Neer's employees were also educating the farmers how to produce bumper harvest using limited resources and how to cope with sudden disasters. Neer too would partake in those classes sometimes and would teach the farmers himself. But the farmers would sit with their hands folded and reverence dripping from their eyes and behaviour. In the beginning when the project had begun, the farmers would look at Neer in complete awe. They found it hard to accept that a royal Prince was working amid them, teaching them. What astonished them the most was the fact how polite and humble Neer was to them and how patiently he would listen to their concerns and answer all their questions, and his grounded attitude made them respect him all the more. They would accept anything that Neer suggested to them to do for the betterment of their farms for they believed that Neer wanted their best which was true. On one such visit to the farms, Neer was talking with the farmers when a Rolce Royce stopped nearby. A young lady dressed in a lime green chanderi saree, her head covered with the She was the only living heir of the almost declining Kapurthala Royal clan— the Maharani of Kapurthala. She was the only child who survived out of the three children of the last king of Kapurthala. Her siblings were brutally murdered by their enemies along with her parents while she was saved by a servant who sent her away to protect her. Although Kapurthala was no more a separate kingdom governed by a king after India became an independent nation and was a part of the Punjab Kingdom, the royal family was still treated with as much deference as they deserved. And the royal family still carried out their duty of looking after their people and helping them in whatever way they could. The servant who had saved her, had sent her to Germany where her aunt lived with her family. __ was just five when her whole life turned upside down and she was sent to live with her mother's sister. Since then, __ had lived with her *Maasi* and did her schooling from Germany before going to Harvard for further studies. Shortly after graduating with an honours degree in __, she had decided to return to her country and her people as her father wanted her to keep their clan alive to carry out their responsibilities towards the people of Punjab. But as it still wasn't safe for her to stay here, she still lived abroad but would spend a week every month in her homeland to look after everything. Neer was mildly surprised to see her here. "*Maharani* __" Neer greeted her politely. "*Yuvraj* Neer," she greeted back in her mellow voice. "I didn't know you were going to join us here this morning," Neer said Romance was in the air as the so-called 'season of love' was here!
