David slowly sat up on his bed, awakened by the sound of the alarm clock sitting on the table beside his bed. He sluggishly rubbed his palms across his face, ready to go back to working as usual. He had told himself that starting today, he would try and get himself together in order not to end up like his dad. He unconsciously lifted his head to Karen's picture hanging on the wall, he posed his lips feeling his heart starting to swell again from the pain of her betrayal but slowly lowered his head, taking his gaze off her picture.
