David Anderson pulled out in front of the prison premises, fighting within him to try and see Karen. He had thought of something to say to her after they met or an excuse for coming to see her but nothing tangible came to his mind. He also does not know whether he will be able to take the pain of seeing Karen in a haggard manner or not recalling how he had seen her the last time before she was sentenced to prison.
