“ Hi” a neighbor greeted Gabby

“Hello” Gabby replied

Gabriella stood in so much amusement as she watched the neighbors exchange words.

“Hey” it's my turn to enter the bathroom

How is it your turn? he asked with so much bitterness

On the other hand, Gabby was feeding her eyes with the drama that was going on that morning, until she heard a loud voice which was her aunty calling her name.

“Gabby” she called

“Ma” Gabby replied

Have you taken your bath? She asked

No ma, but am about to do that, she answered

Gabby had finished taking her bath and was drying up her body when her cousin walked in.

“Gabby” she calls out

“Yes “ Gabby replied

Do you think you can do this job that you want to do? she asked with so much anxiety.

Happiness is the first daughter of Mrs patience who loves it when people are around her but she hates sharing her things with even her sister.

“Happiness” calls out

“Don't worry” am not a kid so I know what is best for me, she assured her cousin

Gabby was well-dressed with a turtle neck top and jean trousers which made her feel like she overdressed, Gabby had stood for over twenty minutes waiting for her aunty outside the compound when she saw a car parked in front of the compound she wondered who the cab was waiting for not knowing that car was waiting for her and her aunty.

“Hurry up” the man yelled

Am almost done, she replied

“Gabby” her aunty calls out, you can enter the car.

Gabriella's eyes were all over the environment, how beautiful the houses were and she was also wondering why she accepted to do the housekeeping job.

She had no choice than to do in other to bring her family out of poverty.

Wow, here we are Gabby you can come down

They've gotten to the house Gabby was brought to do the housekeeping job.

Gabby could not explain if that was a house or it was heaven as her mouth was widely opened like someone who wanted to swallow a fish.

“Aunty” Gabby calls her aunty, is this a house?

Hahahah!!!!!!!!! her aunty laughs out, yes it's a house and this is where you will be working.

Gabby jumped and shouted “I have made it” which caught the attention of Mrs. Chinenye.

Mrs. Chinenye is a multi-billionaire who is married to one of the richest men in Lagos and she's blessed with two kids. Mrs. Chinenye loves people who are intelligent and smart, but her aim towards Gabby was to employ her as a housekeeper, seeing that she was very smart and intelligent she had to make her the Secretary in her company.

“Good evening ma” Gabby greeted with so much humility

How are you doing? She asked with so much happiness

Am fine Ma, Gabby replied

“Gabby” Mrs.chinenye calls gabby

“Yes ma” she replied

Do you have any experience with this work you are coming to do, or do you just want to do it because your mom asked you to come and do it?

“Ma” Gabby voiced out with confidence, I didn't come here because I needed this job or because my mom wanted me to come, am only here because of the love I have for my mom, and am worth more than a housekeeper.

My aim is to school abroad and make my family proud, but that dream of mine is not forthcoming and housekeeping is not what I want.

What do you want Gabby? She asked with a broad smile

“M….…a…… Gabby stammers”

“Oh don't worry my dear I'll see what I can do concerning this”.

Ah thank you so much Ma, Gabby said with her knees on the ground

“Patience” Mrs. Chinenye calls her out after having a lengthy conversation with Gabby assuming that she was a good, intelligent, and smart girl not knowing that Gabby was very arrogant.

What do you think? Mrs. Chinenye inquired of,

I think you should put her in a better position cause she speaks eloquently, Mrs. Patience replied.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Patience was not happy with Chinenye's response but she had no choice but to accept it. She had always wanted someone like Gabby since her daughters were not as intelligent as Gabby.

Gabby was so happy that she had made it to her dream world, she had just been wondering if the house was owned by a human being or if it was a small heaven. She has always dreamt of living a baby girl lifestyle that she couldn't afford.

Mrs. Patience was still troubled by the decision Gabby made but she's an adult so she couldn't decide for her, she wished Gabby had made up to stay with her but it wasn't possible.

On the other hand, Gabby had called her mom to tell her that she might be given a better offer in the woman’s company.

“Gabby” her aunty calls out with so much pain in her heart

“Ma” she replied

I just got a call from Mrs.Chinenye, you will be working as a secretary in her company.

“Ma” Gabby hollered at the top of her voice while she jumped to hug her aunty so tight.

Gabby could not express how heartbroken she felt and how grateful she was to her aunty.

“Aunty” thank you so much for the love you have always shown me, I just can't thank you enough for all you do for me.

“Gabby” she calls out, you are like my daughter so just be a good girl when you get there and make sure you work hard and effortlessly.

Mrs. Patience couldn't hold the tears, she had to let the tears roll down her eyes as she pulled Gabby closer to her and hugged her very tightly.

Meanwhile Gabby had gone into the washroom to wash her face when she noticed that her phone was vibrating, she hurried to check who was calling.

“Victor” guess what? Gabby said with so much confidence in her.

Victor is an average gentleman who loves God so much and he has never wanted to share his girlfriend (Gabby) with anyone.

Gabby have you suddenly lost your manners? he said with so much anger, you couldn't even greet me and you are telling me to guess? What exactly am I guessing?

“Am sorry babe” Gabby apologizes, I was overwhelmed by the news I got today.

And what's the news all about? Victor asked

I got an offer to work as a secretary for my boss, not a housekeeper again.

Wow, that's a great one but make sure that you are submissive to your boss and respect her. Victor advised because he knows the kind of person Gabby is.
