Part 2: Hoard Chapter 3 Yes, the tokens of affection freely given were my favorite. And always, always, they were the brightest. Being always on the move, they were stored in sacks and boxes. It pained me, hiding them away in containers, but it was necessary as a traveler. I had a trunk filled with glowing objects. Wrapping my claws around the wooden trunk calmed me. Stretching my wings and alighting with it felt right. It was, however, becoming more and more difficult to hide it. I took to digging holes and burying the trunk to keep curious eyes away. Rather than keep my treasures hidden from sight, I yearned to have a space to keep them on display. A cave lair like my parents’, with walls glittering with jewels and precious metals. Or perhaps an abandoned tower with a foreboding moat
