Chapter 42
I’d gotten in touch with Wilson and made arrangements to stay with him and Ryan in Malibu when I had four days free between San Diego and Provo. I’d rent a car and drive up to LA. I’d never seen the West Coast, and this would give me time to see a few things. I’d stay two nights with them.
“Don’t you look great,” Ryan exclaimed as I got out of the car. “Touring seems to agree with you.”
Wilson gave me a kiss and said we could sit on the deck and watch the pod of whales that had been playing out there today.
“Let me get your bags,” Wilson said.
“I need to get my cello, too. I don’t want to leave her in the car in this heat.”
“No, it isn’t fair to leave our loved ones to get all hot and sweaty waiting for us.” Ryan chuckled. Wilson turned and kissed him on the cheek.
