Chapter 26 I walked quietly in the back door. “You look exhausted,” Judith told me. I nodded. “It’s been a long day. Where is she tonight?” Judith nodded to the stairs. “On the terrace. Have you eaten?” I shook my head. “I’ll bring something up to you. Would you like some ravioli?” “Oh, that sounds great, Judith. I’ve been living on turkey sandwiches and canned chicken noodle soup.” Judith leaned her hand on the counter. “I understand you’re staying the weekend.” I nodded. “Then I’ll make sure you eat right.” “Thank you, Judith.” I went upstairs and out onto the terrace and as usual, Car was sitting there reading a trade paper.
