Chapter 31
At seven-thirty, the suite started to fill up again. Joyce showed up to do my make-up and Mimi arrived to dress me. Just a minute later, Ryan and Car came back. They weren’t drunk but they were very happy. Car came over to where Joyce was doing my eyes. When Joyce looked up, Car asked, “Can I kiss her before you get her mouth tied up with lipstick?”
Joyce laughed. “Go for it, but watch the eyes.”
Car laughed as she placed a slow, gentle kiss on my lips.
“That will have to do for now,” she whispered to me. She turned to Mimi, who was laying out the clothes I was going to wear.
“Will you need the bathroom right away, or have I time to shower?”
“We’re done in there.”
“Thanks.” Then she went into the bedroom.
“I think it’s time we let the ladies get ready, Wil,” Ryan announc
