Chapter 17Tom sat across from Paul at a local steakhouse. They did not often go out to lunch together. Both preferring to bring their food with them and continue working. However, Paul had suggested this break, saying they needed to celebrate all the progress they had been having and Tom had agreed.
Catherine was teaching at the university today, so they had considered rescheduling for a day when she could join them, but she had insisted that they go. She had said that she was still a newcomer to the team and the two old friends should enjoy some time together.
It was nice to relax occasionally, and they both knew that they had not done this enough. It seemed that the more success they had, the more they were driven to work hard.
