Chapter 18Tom and Linda followed Andrea to the Neuro-Surgical waiting area. They checked in with the female attendant and provided their contact information. She assured them that if she got any information, she would pass it along. Otherwise, the surgical resident would come back to see them after the surgery was complete. Currently, they were estimating that they would finish in the OR in about four hours, but that could change as things developed. They received directions to the cafeteria. She also informed them that if they were planning to go, that they should do it sooner rather than closer to the expected time the surgery was to complete. They thanked the woman for the help and took seats to wait. They choose seats near the back of the room and in the corner where they would hopeful
