Chapter 9Early the next morning Paul walked into the lab. On the floor was a shattered light bulb. He bent down and picked up the base of the bulb with the jagged glass edges sticking out. He carefully turned it over in his hand, while absently thinking about what was going to happen in a few hours. He would travel back in time. Going back about twelve hours to remove this light bulb from Tom's contraption and place it on the counter so it would not be damaged. “I see it broke,” said the voice from behind him. Startled, Paul whipped around and saw Tom standing in the doorway. As he turned, his hand jerked and one of the glass edges of the destroyed light bulb ripped into the side of the index finger on his right hand.
