Chapter 51The control room was about the size of a basketball court. There were massive display screens on all the walls. Operators sat in levitating chairs which hovered in places around the room and were reclined to various degrees. Each chair was perfectly conformed to the body of the person seated in it. There was an arm that attached to the chair and projected a holographic control panel that changed as the operator needed. There were currently four operators on duty. They each wore a headset that allowed them to communicate with each other, or with the agents in the separate room.
The operators were aware that there was increased excitement today. In the last hour, several committee members had appeared in the teleportation chamber and headed directly into the main conference room.
