As they walked, Paul thought about what had just happened. It made sense that if in their time they had this technology, it would also exist in the future. Therefore, it was impossible to know how many people from the future could be observing these significant historical events. It also made him very uncomfortable. In the eight hours they had here, they had already managed to interfere with future events. He was also confused as to how staying in that rooming house could cause someone to be born that should not. He could not believe that while there that he or Tom would get someone pregnant.
